This semester, our school opened a swimming class. I feel very comfortable in every class, because I can swim already, and swimming class provides me with an opportunity to show my skills. The first time I learned to swim, I will never forget it, as if it were yesterday.
It was a winter when I was six years old. When I put on my bathing suit and goggles, I jumped out of the pool nervously, and the cold sea surrounded me. The coach taught me to hold my breath first: take a deep breath first, and when I inhale, my mouth should be O-shaped, so that I can inhale more air and then quickly dive my head into the water. My ears and nose get a little sore when I drill. I was afraid that water would fill my nose and ears. I was afraid of people sinking, so I kept pinching my nose, but the coach said seriously, "You can't pinch your nose with your hand, or you can't swim underwater with one hand." At this time, I had to let go of my hand slowly, which made me afraid and nervous, and my feet were a little unstable. After many exercises, I finally learned to dive. Later, the coach taught me to float, put my hands and legs together, relax and look at the bottom of the pool, so that my body will naturally float for a long time, but when I float, I feel sinking, so I keep moving around. I seem afraid of water. Every time you go into the water, you don't relax. It's easy to sink. Later, after careful "research", I was finally able to float on the water. After I had a solid foundation exercise, the coach taught me to draw water. I followed the coach's demonstration, straightened my arms, grasped the wall of the pool tightly, then plunged my head into the water and held my breath, so that my stretched legs could beat the water quickly and forcefully, splashing a piece of water, only to hear waves of water, and my body immediately floated lightly on the water. When I saw my body floating, I beat it with my feet desperately, trying to stay on the water for a while. However, in a short time, my body slowly sank. After repeated practice, I finally floated by drawing water.
The experience of learning to swim has taught me a truth: nothing is difficult in the world, nothing is impossible to a willing mind. As long as you have perseverance, everything will succeed
