It's not appropriate to say Lao Tzu. How many people dare not say that they have studied all their lives, and how many dare to say that they have not studied for several years? It is also appropriate, because Laozi's influence on me will continue from the beginning to the present and to the future, and different States in different periods will have different influences. I will write down today's thoughts and remember them later.
First of all, Lao Zi is the beginning of my own study of China's philosophy. After reading Russell's A Brief History of Western Philosophy and attending Professor Yuan's The Philosophy of Ancient Greece, I became interested in philosophy and began to pay attention to China's philosophy from Laozi. The word' philosophy' is imported from the West, and there has always been a saying that China has no history of philosophy. Without the word "philosophy", it doesn't mean. Laozi also broadened itself to a certain extent from the theory of human nature that only pays attention to ethics to the scope of the whole world and the universe. From a small piece of sky to an infinite sky, it is not the gap of specific knowledge, but the size of the horizon. Finally, I wouldn't have read Zhuangzi without Lao Zi, and Zhuangzi is a classic of China traditional culture that has the greatest influence on me at present.
Laozi is divided into Tao Jing and Tao Te Ching, with a total of 8 1 chapter. All chapters can be roughly divided into: 1. On Tao, what is Tao? How does Tao work in the universe? ; Secondly, the thought of inaction,' doing nothing without doing anything' is not a negative' inaction', but a' behavior' that does not violate the natural state; Third, the law of development of things is "going round and round, opposing each other, transforming each other", "those who oppose the Tao move", and blessing and misfortune depend on each other ".Lao Tzu is a simple materialist; Fourth, the idea of doing nothing and being quiet and indisputable Lao Tzu said: I have three treasures, one is kindness, the other is frugality, and the third is not daring to be the first in the world. Kindness can be brave; Save money and be wide; You can only succeed if you dare not be the number one in the world. Water is good for all things and does not dispute'; Work and retreat'; In addition to the above aspects, there are also opposing the status quo of the materialistic era, opposing war, and advocating the "inaction" of the rulers (all of the above are roughly summarized by myself, and will be supplemented in time if there are omissions).
When I first read Laozi, I was more influenced by my personal behavior, such as good water and profitable water, but I didn't argue and I couldn't see myself. Therefore, the five colors are blinding, humiliating, intelligent and self-aware ... So in fact, from the beginning, Lao Tzu was self-cultivation like Cai Gentan and the Analects of Confucius.
Then I saw Laozi's criticism of the social status quo, his pursuit of rulers and various material desires, which led to war and man-made disasters, so he put forward the view that "there is no way in the world, and there are horses in the suburbs." Misfortune outweighs discontent; Blame is greater than desire. So contentment is often enough. "
Then I saw Laozi's dialectical view on the cycle and mutual transformation of things, and everyone knew that beauty is beauty and evil, and happiness and misfortune depend on each other.
The last and most important thing is the understanding of Tao, which is also a dish that I don't want to move so far. Lazy people also seek advantages and avoid disadvantages. They are too young to be drowned. I still don't know how to understand Lao Tzu's Tao.
Sima Qian commented on Taoism in Taishi Gongxu: Taoism is inaction, but easy to do, and its words are hard to know. Its technology is based on nothingness and uses conformity. Nothing is impermanent, so we can study the feelings of everything. Not for things first, not for things later, you can become the master of everything. There is no law because of time; There is no limit, because things are harmonious. Therefore, "saints are immortal and never change." The emptiness of the Tao is also vulgar, so it is the key to the monarch. "
If Confucianism and Taoism complement each other in the framework of traditional culture, it will be the Confucian thought that I learned from childhood and consciously or unconsciously accepted, including the way of thinking, the way of behavior and everything in life, which can not be separated from the traditional Confucian culture. As an adult, I found a place I had never touched before in Laozi and Zhuangzi's theory, which was very open and bright, and that was my own choice.
