In order to force Li Dazhao to confess, the enemy tortured him with electric chairs, tiger stools, fingers with bamboo sticks and so on, and finally brutally pulled out the nails of his hands. Li Dazhao was indomitable and didn't reveal any secrets of the party to the enemy. In order to protect other comrades who were arrested at the same time, Li Dazhao also wrote a "prison self-report" with bloodstained hands. On April 28th, Comrade Li Dazhao was strangled by a reactionary warlord at the age of 38.
