Professor Zhang Mingkai's academic position in contemporary criminal law circles in China has been quite consolidated.

There is no doubt that Professor Zhang Mingkai is a very diligent scholar. On my bookshelf, there are the following books by Professor Zhang Mingkai: The Development of Criminal Law Motto, The Theory of Attempted Crime, Foreign Criminal Law, System and Elements of Crime Constitution, Principles of Interpretation of Specific Provisions of Criminal Law and Principles of Criminal Law. However, most scholars of his time lacked a lasting academic system. Most importantly, most scholars even lack the necessary academic monographs to explain their scientific and reasonable academic views. In other words, in the current criminal law field, Professor Zhang Mingkai may be the only one who persistently shows his academic views to readers through his various academic monographs.
