I like college. When you go to a place, if time allows, go to the local universities to get a feel for the different styles and flavors of universities. Over the years, I have been to forty or fifty universities one after another, and nearly thirty of them have retained pictures and text, which I have compiled in order for easy review.

In October 2018, I went to Hangzhou to participate in a training.

The training party organized everyone to visit several places, which are all the highlights of Hangzhou, so that the comrades participating in the training can gain insights and enlightenment.

One of the places is Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University.

Regarding universities, President Mei Yiqi has a famous saying: The so-called university does not mean a building, but a master.

I admire Principal Mei very much, and naturally I also agree with Principal Mei’s famous saying.

The master is not something to be seen. When we visit a university, what we see are other tangible things, such as buildings, halls, flowers, trees, venues, roads, etc. and the structural layout among tangible objects.

The university I like should not be too big and should not have too many teachers and students. In addition to having masters, it should also have an environment that is very suitable for studying, such as big trees, green space, antique, and Buildings of different styles are interspersed with green trees, flowers, and lawns, and are well-proportioned. The paths are winding and winding, and the winding paths on the campus lead to tranquility. The boys are modest gentlemen, the girls are graceful ladies, and the professors are gentle and elegant.

Of course it’s just nonsense.

This kind of university is naturally impossible and absolutely impossible.

However, I feel that Suiyuan Campus of Nanjing Normal University, Yuquan Campus and Zhijiang Campus of Zhejiang University are somewhat interesting.

At least there are some old trees and some old buildings with great flavor.

Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University is said to be the current main campus of Zhejiang University. It is luxurious and modern. The party and government organs of Zhejiang University and some important departments are here.

Because of the large size, the training organization organized a tour by car. Finally, the car was parked in one place and everyone was allowed to move around freely for 20 minutes.

For 20 minutes, you can only walk in and out of the parking area and take a few photos. This is the only time you can visit. You don’t dare to go deep alone to avoid losing contact with the large group.

As a result, I have no more specific impression of the luxurious and modern Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University except that it is very large, very impressive and very modern.

When I came back and looked at the photos from that time, apart from some tall buildings, there were only a lot of grapefruits left.

In the parking area, there are many grapefruit and other southern varieties of fruit trees. There are many fruits that are not available in the north. They are very rare and I took a lot of photos.

The most profound impression about Zhejiang University Zijingang Campus is that the grapefruits are big and round.

To be honest, regarding Zhejiang University, I prefer Yuquan Campus and Zhijiang Campus to Zijingang Campus.

Later, a reader reminded me that what looks like a grapefruit in the photo is actually not a grapefruit, but something called fragrant bubbles, which looks good but tastes bad.

Guys from the north, I can’t tell the difference between fragrant bubbles and grapefruit. Let’s just stick to grapefruit.

For the university, it doesn’t matter whether it’s grapefruit or fragrant bubbles.
