The order of the four sentences of Zhuangzi's thought of doing nothing to escape the world is as follows:
1. "It's just for being arrogant": "Arrogant" means high-pitched, rebellious and cynical. mean. However, judging from the situations cited, although such people are also cynical, they do not fight against it, especially they will not sacrifice themselves out of dissatisfaction. They only express a kind of nobility. There is a sentence below that says "high without deliberate intention", and "high" is exactly his state of mind. It can be inferred that "high" is a mistake of "high", because the lower part of the word "高" is full of water.
2. "This ordinary person": The meaning of "ordinary" is not as obvious as "departing from this world", "not from this world", and "escaping from the world" in the article. It is suspected to be a misspelling of "combined with the world" . "Bingshi" means to be in harmony with the world, that is, to cooperate with today's society.
3. "Inaction is all": "Inaction" is the highest ideal of Taoism, and people who "live in the fields, live in leisurely places, and fish in leisurely places" are not worthy of it. Look at the following sentence "There are no rivers and seas, but leisure". The word "xian" should be used here, and the sentence should be "just for leisure." This is because "Xian" is mistaken for "无", and "为无" is not used as a word, but it is inverted as "无为".
4. "This Tao Yin Scholar": "Dao Yin" means guidance, which is a method of exercising by shaking the muscles and bones and moving the limbs.
5. "Indifferent and endless, all the beauty follows from it": "Indifferent" and "Wuji", from the part of speech, are both descriptive words, or "indifferent" describes "Wuji", or "indifferent" "Wuji" describes "indifferent", but its meaning is difficult to reconcile, and there must be something wrong in it.
In fact, "Wuji" is "Wuwei". "Indifferent", "indifferent" is used to describe "inaction", which is very consistent with the meaning. And only inaction can be worthy of "the way of heaven and earth, the virtue of saints". "Extreme" is a mistake for "wei".
