Xue Tao (about 768-832), a female poet in the Tang Dynasty, also known as Hongdu. A native of Chang'an (now Xi'an, Shaanxi Province). He came to Shu because his father Xue Yun was an official. After his father's death, Xue Tao lived in Chengdu. When he was living in Chengdu, the highest local military and political officer in Chengdu, Jiannan Xichuan Jiedushi, was replaced for eleven terms, and most of them had poetry exchanges with Xue Tao. When Wei Gao was appointed as the Jiedu Envoy, he planned to ask Emperor Dezong of Tang Dynasty to grant Xue Tao the official title of Secretary Provincial School Secretary, but due to the old practice, it could not be realized, but people called it "female school secretary". He once lived on Huanhua Creek (now Huanhua Creek Park) and made small pink paper to write poems. Later generations imitated it and called it "Xue Tao Paper". There is Xue Tao's tomb in Wangjianglou Park in Chengdu.
