In fact, in the early days of Qianlong's succession, the country notified by Qianlong was very strong and developed well in economy, military and other aspects. However, in the later period, Qianlong's selfish desires continued to expand, leading to official corruption, and Emperor Qianlong began to be keen on collecting human jewelry. Since then, Qianlong has been addicted to jewelry, and officials on the field are keen to pay tribute to the rare treasures they have.
Because of their own selfish desires, the social atmosphere has changed greatly. In the later years of Qianlong, few officials were seriously completing their work, and they were all comparing themselves with those who were richer than themselves. In officialdom, there is also a hidden rule of not doing things without money, and even Gan Long began to openly ask officials in officialdom for gifts. As long as these officials can give gifts, they can live a bright future with these gifts. Many of the rare treasures in these officials' homes are squeezed from the people, and even some officials directly suppress the people in order to get more money. In this fiery life, they are very dissatisfied with Qianlong.
But in fact, this was not always the case during the whole period of Qianlong's rule. In the previous stage of Qianlong's rule, the punishment for corrupt officials was still very severe. Officials are even more strict with themselves, and they once banned attacking any jewelry or antiques. It can be seen that people in high positions cannot keep a clear mind for a long time, and may gradually lose themselves in this luxurious life.
