Tian Yuchuan, the son of Tian Yunshan, the magistrate of Jiangxia County, went to Guishan with an heirloom butterfly cup; he met Shikuan, the son of Lu Lin, the governor of the two lakes, and forcibly bought Hu Yanzhi Fish, dogs bite Hushou, scold him for being unreasonable, and get whipped. Yuchuan was not satisfied, he wounded Shikuan and left. Shikuan and Hu Yan returned home and both died. Lu Lin sent people to capture Yuchuan, but fortunately he was rescued by Hu Nu Fenglian and hid in a boat. When they meet in adversity, they make a lifelong commitment to each other. Tamagawa uses a butterfly cup as a betrothal gift.

Feng Lian held a cup and threw it at the Yamen to complain, and was able to see Yunshan and his wife. Lu Lin failed to capture Yuchuan, so he pretended to be in Wutang to interrogate Yunshan. Yunshan talked about his defense, and Fenglian went to court to plead grievances on behalf of her father. Lu Ci was poor, so he was forced to bring his son to justice in Yunshan. The chief envoy Dong Wen liked Fenglian for her wisdom and bravery, and adopted her as his adopted daughter. Lu Lin's southern expedition was frustrated, so he recruited Lei Jinzhou (Tian Yuchuan changed his name) as a general, who turned defeat into victory and defeated the enemy.

After returning in triumph, Lu Qiang promised his daughter Fengying to her. On the night of flowers and candles, Yuchuan told Fengying. Fengying couldn't bear the beating and let Yuchuan go.
