Chen Duxiu’s famous saying about innovation is that youth are to society as fresh and lively cells are to the human body. Metabolism, the old and decayed things are always on the way to natural elimination, and the fresh and lively things are based on the position of space and the life of time.
Chen Duxiu (October 9, 1879 - May 27, 1942), whose original name was Chen Qingtong, Chen Qiansheng, also named Zhongfu and named Shi'an, was a native of Huaining, Anhui.
In September 1915, Chen Duxiu founded "Youth Magazine" in Shanghai (renamed "New Youth" the following year), which was the beginning of the New Culture Movement.
