What is the history of Panxian ancient city building?
Drum Tower in Beimencheng, Panxian County, formerly known as Yuanlou, Puanxu Town, was built in the 25th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (AD 1392), with a history of more than 600 years. The building is five rooms wide and five rooms deep, with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain, seven-beam bucket type, two-step corridor at the bottom, wing angle rising 1 m, and blue tiles covering the top. Both the tower and the ancient city wall are made of stone, with the highest point 10 meter and the width of 39.6 meters. There are 24 battlements on the city wall. It is the only ancient city building with complete gatehouses in our province.

In Guizhou, it is really good to have such a tower, which should be related to the development of Yelang, but it is not well protected and the surrounding buildings are built too close.
