While I was laughing, I suddenly looked up and got a fright. A painter was working on the girder.

Zhu Yuanzhang was shocked that he had made a slip of the tongue. So he immediately ordered the old painter to come down, but even shouted several times, the old painter didn't respond. Zhu Yuanzhang sent someone to call the old painter, only to see him coming down from the roof trembling and kneeling on the ground to confess his sins: "I am deaf, so I should say this plainly!" " After listening, Zhu Yuanzhang thought, what can a deaf old man hear from such a long distance just now? Then leave, no longer ignore.

When the emperor left, the old painter's head was sweating. In fact, Zhu Yuanzhang heard every word he said clearly. But he knew in his heart that if he didn't pretend to be deaf, he would die.
