Soon, Peng Ruhuai went to Changle County, Fujian Province as a magistrate; Peng Rugan went to Runing Prefecture, Henan Province as the magistrate, and was later promoted to be the provincial judge of the Yellow River in Henan Province, in charge of the Yellow River Project. During their time as officials, the two brothers did many good things for the local people and won their love. Peng Ruhuai is known as Peng Qingtian.
