Bookmarks are a craft that has both practical value and appreciation. But making a bookmark is not easy. I tried to make one, but it took a lot of time.
First, I found a piece of plastic foam and used scissors to cut it into a rectangle 10 cm long and 4 cm wide. Then I cut the four corners into a crescent shape and smoothed it with emery cloth. This is the rudiment of bookmarks.
I want to make a bookmark with the image of a giant panda eating bamboo. So I found a piece of black cloth from the colorful cloth, cut out the panda's duck egg-shaped head, then cut out two semicircular ears, and then cut out a pair of eyes from the white cloth and attached them to the head. Then use red cloth to cut out a crescent-shaped mouth, tilt it slightly to make people feel that it is smiling, and then cut out the coiled thighs and green bamboo.
The parts of the pattern have been cut out, and the next step is to glue them to the foam. It is a simple process to combine them into a vivid pattern. The glue should stick just right, no more and no less. If you use too much, it will slip easily and won't stick; if you use too little, it won't stick firmly. The hard work paid off, and the lovely giant panda was finally born, but I always felt that there were some flaws and something was missing.
I picked up a pen and decorated the blank space around the panda with some bamboo, grass, etc. Finally, I put a tassel on the lower end of the bookmark, and then added a few drops of fragrance water, and a refined bookmark was completed. Although it is not as good as the one in the bookstore. It's perfect, but in my heart it means more than any bookmark.
