Is psychoanalysis useful in China?
In Li Xiaosi, in the middle of 10, the last phase of a three-year continuous training program for senior psychoanalysts between China and Norway was held in Wuhan Psychological Hospital. On the night of the opening ceremony, two interactive "dialogues" between Chinese and Norwegian teachers and between teachers and students were also held. The theme of the first one is "Is psychoanalysis useful in China?" I'm one of the guests (Sve rioual,,,, History,) and so on. ) and make the following speech: I totally agree with the views of the previous guests. What I want to say is some supplements to the views of previous guests. First of all, I think whether a theory or doctrine is valuable depends on whether it is reasonable and scientific. The theory of psychoanalysis is undoubtedly fascinating. In the teaching process, both teachers and students can feel its profundity and persuasiveness. However, psychoanalysis is more exciting because of its clinical practice. Whether it's my own clinical cases, cases supervised by China-Durban, China-Norwegian classes, or cases of other classes, we are all surprised and shocked by what patients present to us and what students report. It is this clinical practice that allows us to see all the phenomena mentioned in psychoanalysis theory and truly understand the meanings of various terms in psychoanalysis, thus "having to" send out from the deep heart that "psychoanalysis is true!" Feelings. Secondly, a good theory depends not only on its theoretical value, but also on its effectiveness. Psychoanalysis is not only a theory, but also one of the treatments. In medicine, to verify whether a treatment is effective, it is often necessary to do animal experiments first, and finally to do experiments on patients. The efficacy of psychoanalysis cannot be verified by animal experiments, but clinical practice clearly shows that this therapy is helpful to people! It is particularly important to emphasize that the object of verifying the efficacy of psychoanalysis is not only our patients, but also our therapists themselves. Through study, personal experience and working with patients, many beneficial changes have taken place in ourselves. Although I didn't participate in the whole teaching activities of the new class in this round, I have a student who participated in the whole study as a student. Her changes in the past three years are obvious to all, and I believe her changes also reflect the changes of all her classmates. We can also compare the photo taken this morning with the photo taken at the beginning of school three years ago. We will find that, on the whole, the people in the photos have changed, and the most prominent thing must be that everyone's faces are more mature and confident than before! In a sense, we take ourselves as the experimental object to verify that psychoanalysis is helpful to people. Taking the therapist himself as the experimental object is valuable from the perspective of methodology and medical ethics, and not every doctor can do it. Thirdly, from a historical perspective, psychoanalysis is applicable to China. The most important part of psychoanalysis is the theory about the subconscious, which is related to depression, because there will be conflicts between the subconscious and the subconscious. Although we have entered the 265,438+0th century and our country is in the primary stage of socialism, China is a country with a history of 5,000 years of civilization, and the traditional culture of China still deeply affects everyone in China. Confucianism, represented by Confucius and Mencius, and the ideas of "monarch, monarch, minister, father, son, son" and "three cardinal guides and five permanents" still permeate everyone's heart. At present, there are still many social contradictions at different levels in our country. We still need to vigorously promote ethical and moral education and strengthen collectivism and patriotism education. In other words, we need to curb those selfish desires and desires that are inconsistent with mainstream moral concepts. And if there is depression, there will be subconscious conflicts; There are subconscious conflicts, and psychoanalysis is of great use. Finally, judging from the current situation in China, China needs psychoanalysis. China is the most populous country in the world, with limited per capita resources, arable land and habitable area. This situation determines that people in China have more "self-restraint and repression" than people in western countries. For example, our per capita housing area must be smaller than that of western countries; For another example, when we proudly own the most cars in the world, we find ourselves deeply troubled by traffic jams. Even in some cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, we have to take turns to restrict travel according to the tail number of the license plate. If we consider that China is also a developing country, people will have more opportunities to sacrifice their personal interests to obey the collective interests and national interests. In psychoanalytic terms, there will be more depression and subconscious conflicts. Obviously, some of these numerous repression and conflicts will form neurosis. From this perspective, we can even say that psychoanalysis has a particularly broad application prospect in China.
