Xu Xiake (January 5, 1587-March 8, 1641), named Hongzu, whose name was Zhenzhi, was born in Jiangyin County, South Zhili (now Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province), a geographer, traveler and writer in Ming Dynasty.
