Life is precious, but love is more expensive.
If you are free, you can throw both.

This poem was written in 1847. 1846, petofi changed his old attitude of "faint sadness" and took the initiative to unite progressive writers, and founded a literary magazine "Life Scenes" to fight against feudal writers of the retro school. This year, he wrote long poems "Fairy Dream", "Sillari pista", "Salgu Castle" and political words "My Song" and "An idea is bothering me ..." In the book, he called on slaves to rise up and overthrow the autocratic system.
In September of the same year, Petofi met Sendley You Liya, then they fell in love and got married on 1847. After marriage, he wrote a large number of love poems, which have a strong political color, and free love is one of them. Commentators believe that "this is the symbol of the poet's revolution and his oath to the revolution." The poet expressed the common aspiration of bourgeois democratic revolutionaries in the19th century in concise language. "
