Wang Zengqi is known as the last pure scholar in China and the last scholar-bureaucrat in China. This statement is not false at all. Look at Wang Zengqi's book. The more you read it, the more interesting it becomes.

About seven years ago, I was still studying in Xiamen University. The literature teacher told us about "Being ordained", which made me crazy and couldn't sleep at night. Some time ago, I read Bi Feiyu's Novel Class. He commented on novels from the perspective of a writer, and also commented on Wang Zengqi in the eyes of a writer.

Wang Zengqi's works have always been simple, clear and plain, with no reason to speak of, and they are very easy to read. A writer overemphasizes the literariness of his works, so it is conceivable that there must be something difficult to understand. I read some literary works and teach others how to write articles in plain English. It's interesting. The more the writer emphasizes these things, the more I feel that his writing is doubtful, which makes it difficult to justify himself.

Wang Zengqi is very different. His articles are those of ordinary people, such as Bai Juyi's poems, which are easy to understand, but without losing interest. He pays attention to the tone and interest of the article, not the profound principles. This kind of peace, dilution, not everyone can learn, first of all, this person must have a taste of life, in order to be called a refined person.

"Life is fun" is a famous saying of Wang Zengqi, and the book editor used it as a name to organize his prose into an anthology. The book is divided into three parts: flavor, vegetation and spring and autumn, and shows Mr. Wang Zengqi's life interest and attitude from three parts: food, plants and old things.

Mr. Wang loves to cook. When creating, he often uses food as a metaphor. He said, "Use language, such as kneading dough." "Lyricism is like monosodium glutamate in a dish. You can't put more." In his depressed life, he often delights himself with transcendental artistic beauty, human beauty and poetic beauty. The usual tea and meal are vividly and interestingly written by him, from pasting autumn fat to cooking meat, from ordinary tea talk to autumn fruit and vegetables, from meat eaters not contemptuous to fish I want, but anything interesting and emotional is involved.

Chen Xiaoqing's "Best Taste on Earth" is full of true temperament, and Wang Zengqi's eating, color, sound and taste are all in it. I think he is really an expert in cooking, and he must be a respected expert in food and literature. He wrote "Kwai Chi" and talked about his hopes for young people: First, I hope young people can accumulate more knowledge about life. The ancients said that the role of poetry: you can observe, you can group, you can complain, and you can learn more about the names of plants, insects and fish. Second, I advise everyone not to be too narrow-minded, and try everything, whether it is ancient or foreign food, such as sunflower and onion. A person who eats Chinese cabbage all year round has no luck.

I remember these two paragraphs especially deeply. In writing class, I often ask my students, can you recognize the names of flowers at their doorsteps? Do you know the name of the flower tree on the campus road? Children are well-fed and generally ignorant of unusual vegetation, which makes me really sad inside. Knowledge does not come from textbooks that have remained unchanged for years, but from our immediate life. I hope today's children can also accumulate more knowledge about life.

As for a person's taste, it is necessary to be popular with everyone, which is related to his experience. Even if he wants to eat, a person who lives in his hometown can't eat dishes from other places. Therefore, taking the Wan Li Road will never be a bad thing. The sauce in the northeast, the batter in the south of Fujian, the steamed buns in Hangzhou, the big twist in Tianjin, and the Chinese hamburger in Xi 'an ... There are many tastes in the world, and there are many tastings before it becomes delicious.

Fortunately, Wang Zengqi is a life-maker. He loves life, is versatile, and lives with interest. After going through rough times, he is indifferent, less worldly and not depressed. He treats everything in the world with affection, intention and ambience. Even in the life of a chicken feather, after his words, it is naive and poetic.

Bi Feiyu said that Wang Zengqi is for watching, not for learning. This is for children who are engaged in the creative industry, so let's not learn from his exquisiteness and poetry! In ordinary trivial days, walk leisurely on your own road, face this restless world, and live a poetic freedom in a chicken feather.
