Nowadays, in many places, rural urbanization, demolition, unified construction of residential areas, and arrangements for farmers to live upstairs. Many farmers are unwilling. Why? Mainly living upstairs, farmers' production and lifestyle will change, and it is difficult to adapt to sudden changes. I have lived in the countryside for many years and have several urgent feelings, which are embodied in the following aspects:
Living habits. The original grounded life, eating, drinking, sleeping, living environment and surrounding environment have been used to for many years, and it is difficult to change, especially for the elderly in rural areas, who are psychologically unwilling to accept these changes and feel that their original habits are good.
It turns out that 1 household 1 has a large residential area and a large space, and feels the freedom of life. The original residential area is 200,300 square meters, and some will be larger. Such a large living area, psychologically and practically, seems to be less restrictive. But after concentrating on the upstairs, living in a house of 100 square meters will feel like a pigeon coop, with no surrounding, very depressed and uncomfortable.
After going upstairs, farmers' farm tools and sundries have no place to put them. Can't raise chickens and ducks, can't order food, and daily life is very inconvenient. The original living environment is self-sufficient to a certain extent, which can reduce the expenditure of family life. You have to pay for everything when you go upstairs.
It is inconvenient to go far away to work in the fields. It turns out that everyone lives in other places, not far from the ground, and can run back and forth at any time, which is very convenient.
Neighbors are not as close as they used to be, and they don't walk so much. The place where I used to live has a large facade and a wide area. Anyone can meet and chat at any time to enhance mutual understanding and feelings. But when you go upstairs, close the door and face your family, your contact with the outside world will naturally decrease.
There are weddings and funerals in rural houses, which could have been done in their own homes. However, if the space is too small after going upstairs, the opening of commercial electricity will be restricted, farmers will be unfamiliar at once, and the existing customs in rural areas will be affected and changed.
Everything has advantages and disadvantages. If farmers want to change their production and living habits in a few years, they need a process of transformation and gradual adaptation, as well as a process of gradual guidance. When promoting rural urbanization and implementing demolition and merger, all localities should give more consideration to farmers' psychology, habits and wishes, their daily life and economic income, and aim at leading a quiet and happy life. They should not put the cart before the horse, forcibly demolish or force farmers to live upstairs.
