Li Qingzhao was born in a scholarly family, and her early life was prosperous. Her father Li Gefei had a rich collection of books, and she laid a literary foundation in a good family environment when she was a child. After marriage, she devoted herself to the collection and arrangement of calligraphy and painting stones with her husband Zhao Mingcheng.

Li Qingzhao is good at poetry and prose, and is better at ci. Li Qingzhao's ci, known as "Yi 'an Ci" and "Shuyu Ci", is named after its number and collection. Yi 'an Collection and Shuyu Collection were recorded by Song people long ago. Up to now, there are about 45 ci poems compiled by modern people, and more than 1 are in doubt.

Her "Shu Yu Ci" is both male and amazed. She not only has profound literary accomplishment, but also has bold creative spirit. Generally speaking, her creative content shows different characteristics in the early and late stages because of the changes of her life in the Northern Song Dynasty and the Southern Song Dynasty.
