Longquan Temple is located in the northwest of Haidian District, Beijing, in Fenghuangling Natural Scenic Area, at the foot of Fenghuangling Mountain in Xishan, Beijing. It is a Buddhist temple in Han Dynasty, which was built in the early years of Liao Dynasty. There are two vigorous cypress trees in front of the mountain gate for more than 600 years, and there are two stout ginkgo trees and two ancient cypresses in the temple, which are thousands of years old as of 20 15.
The original site of Longquan Temple is east-west, and a single-hole ancient stone bridge in the temple has been well preserved so far. Hundreds of meters east of Longquan Temple, there is a climbing tower. It is said that on the day when the Ascension Master died, the monk recited the scriptures for 49 days, and the sandalwood smell in the tower lasted for three years.
