This is not the first time the organization has protested the development of 5G. Swiss environmentalists have always criticized that compared with 4G technology, 5G technology brings more serious electromagnetic radiation, which will affect human health and the environment. The Swiss Medical Association FMH also advocates being cautious about the development of new 5G technologies.
At present, Swiss opponents of 5G technology hope to raise 654.38 million+signatures to promote the referendum on 5G technology, and hope to suspend the use of 5G technology until the risks of 5G can be correctly assessed.
According to foreign media reports, although researchers agree that the radiation of the 5G network is no different from that of the previous mobile network, people's insecurity is still great.
Compared with 4G, 5G uses a higher frequency, and the coverage of a single station is relatively small, requiring more and denser base stations. In the same area, the number of base stations determines the strength of signal coverage and directly affects the radiation of mobile phones. Because when the signal coverage of the mobile phone we use is weak, in order to ensure normal communication, the power of our own antenna will be increased and the radiation will also increase. Therefore, the more the number of communication base stations, the better the effect of mobile phone calls and network connections, and the smaller the electromagnetic radiation generated between mobile phones and base stations. In addition, the network speed is not improved by enhancing the signal transmission power of the communication base station, but by expanding the transmission bandwidth, so is the future 5G communication base station.
People are generally worried about radiation mainly from two aspects: one is the remote base station, and the other is the mobile phone around them.
