Teacher Zhan Hui

A few days ago, Teacher Xia Yan informed me that I could have dinner with Teacher Zhang Zhanhui. Considering that I just took time off last week to run the Instinct Running Training Camp, it would be a bit inappropriate to take another day off this week. So just a signed letter was enough for the reply.

On Thursday, teacher Xia Yan asked again whether to participate, and Quanzhou reserved two places.

On Friday, I looked at the work schedule and felt that it should be done in half a day. So I decided to go.

At 11 noon on Saturday, Teacher Xia Yan drove to the company to pick me up and went straight to Quanzhou. It was past twelve o'clock when we arrived at the hotel. Teacher Zhan Hui and his friend Fan Deng from Quanzhou were chatting in the private room. Also sitting at the same table were Fan Deng, the person in charge of reading in Guangzhou and Longyan, and Irene, the CEO of Impossible Technology. First, I took turns taking photos with Teacher Zhanhui, and then took out the "Control" I had prepared in advance and signed it for him. Although Teacher Zhan Hui is well-known (especially among Fan Deng's book friends, because he is Teacher Fan Deng's running coach), he has almost no airs. I feel like the little brother next door, quiet and even a little shy.

Everyone arrived and took turns introducing themselves. Maybe it was because I said in my introduction that I had shared control more than a dozen times in offline reading groups, and as a result, I was invited to the stage to interact during teacher Zhan Hui’s sharing in the afternoon. A little excited.

Ten thousand words will be omitted during the meal.

At 2:30 in the afternoon, the sharing officially started. First, Duan Gongzi (also one of the initiators of the event and a mother of two children) shared his experience after learning to run from teacher Zhan Hui; then a book friend who was keen on horse racing and had ridden 30,000 kilometers back from Italy shared his experience. Some of my own feelings about running; next it was Teacher Zhanhui’s turn to share his concept of “easy running”. Because I also know the content of the book relatively well, I basically know what I shared. After the sharing, there was an interactive session. It had been arranged in advance, and I was the first to take the stage to ask questions. My question is "What should people with damaged knees pay attention to if they want to run?". Teacher Zhan Hui answered: "First of all, when you are injured, it is not better to rest all the time. Instead, you need moderate exercise to stimulate the bones to secrete osteocalcin to promote recovery. Secondly, you need to strengthen the strength of the muscles around the joints to protect the joints." Then two more book friends came to the stage to ask questions, and Teacher Zhan Hui also patiently answered them. Finally, he also led everyone to briefly experience the feeling of standing on one foot and standing on one foot with eyes closed. The whole process takes less than an hour. Because this is a promotion for a running training camp, his content is just clickable, and more importantly, it stays in the training camp. After Teacher Zhan Hui finished, it was his mother-in-law's turn to take the stage to share - the legendary strong woman who completed the half marathon through scientific exercises after severely damaging her knees. It seemed that she was very nervous and her words were trembling. Somewhat quiet. The last person to share was the person in charge of Fan Deng’s reading in Guangzhou, and he was one of the first in China to participate in the Fan Deng’s reading project (it is said that there was no APP at that time, and what was sold was Teacher Fan Deng’s PPT). Her theory is how much money can be made through running camps, and by whom. In my humble opinion, this is a failure. What running pursues is health. Using such a practical reason to promote running training camps feels like the opposite.

The last step is the introduction of the training camp. I don’t know how many transactions were made. But the atmosphere didn't feel particularly warm. This can be seen from Brother Long's speech. He chose to facilitate the sharing at the climax, which doubled the effect.

For me, this was a rewarding trip. Sharing "Control" was a starting point, but I never thought I would get the opportunity to take photos with the author or even have lunch. This also proves the saying that hard work will eventually pay off.
