A POS purchase order is a transaction confirmation document printed by a POS machine after a successful credit card transaction. The transaction has legal effect only after the POS purchase order is signed by the cardholder. Merchants must keep POS purchase orders for more than one year for future reference, and cardholders can keep POS purchase orders until the bank card accounting check is completed next month.
