1. Some short messages could not be sent.
For example, send text messages to operators. If it is sent successfully, it means that some short messages cannot be sent on the mobile phone.
1. Please check whether the short message contains sensitive words. If there is, the other party cannot receive it after sending it.
Please use test sentences to send short messages to confirm whether they can be received normally, such as hello, thank you, goodbye, etc. If you can receive it normally, it means that the short message you sent before may contain sensitive words, so I suggest you avoid sending sensitive words.
Please confirm whether the fixed dialing service has been started.
When fixed dialing is turned on, you can only send information to the contacts in the fixed dialing list, but not to other numbers. If you want to continue sending, please cancel the fixed dialing service:
Enter the settings in the upper right corner of dial-up or telephone, and click Card 1 above under Card 2 >; Fixed dialing > turn off fixed dialing (you need to consult the operator for the PIN2 code needed in the process of turning off).
3. If you are sending short messages in groups, it is recommended that you keep the device turned on or continue charging when sending short messages in groups.
4. If you can't send short messages to short numbers (e.g. 1066), please go to Settings, search the permission of paid SMS, and click Enter to find information. It is suggested to set it as inquiry.
Second, all text messages can't be sent.
1. If your mobile phone is currently using a 5G network, I suggest you pull down the quick switch panel and turn off the 5G switch and try again.
2. Third-party SMS may have compatibility problems. Please enter the settings, search and enter the default application, and set the information as the system default.
You can switch the flight mode, re-trigger the network and try again.
4. If the SIM card is currently enabled with VoLTE, please enter the settings, search for VoLTE, turn off the VoLTE HD call switch and try again; If the VoLTE switch is not found or the problem is not solved after restarting the VoLTE switch, it is recommended that you contact the operator to restart the VoLTE function and try again.
5. if a "red exclamation mark" appears directly when sending a short message, please press and hold the message of sending failure, select more > view information details, contact the operator and feed back the error code.
6. Please check whether the number setting of the SMS center is normal:
(1) Please enter the settings in the upper right corner of the message, and click Advanced > Set the correct SMS center number in the SMS center (there is no SMS center in the telecom card). If you don't know the SMS center number, please contact the operator to get the SMS center number and set it.
(2) If the confirmation number is correct, but the setting fails, it is recommended that you set a SIM card on other devices. If the setting still fails, it may be a SIM card problem. It is recommended that you bring your valid certificate to the operator's business hall to replace your SIM card.
7. Please insert the SIM card into another mobile phone for investigation. If other mobile phones can't be sent, I suggest you consult the operator.
3. If the above troubleshooting fails to solve your problem, it is recommended that you clean up and restore the data.
1. Restore the information to the default settings.
EMUI: information > three points > settings > three points, and select the following to restore the default settings.
HarmonyOS system: information > four points >; Settings > 4 o'clock, select the following to restore the default settings.
2. Delete data and cached information (SMS will not be deleted)
Enter settings, search application management, find information, and click Save >; Delete data.
3. Restore network settings
Go to Settings, search to restore network settings, click Restore Network Settings (WLAN, Bluetooth and other related data will be deleted), and then try to send SMS.
Warm reminder: This operation will not delete data or files, but only restore the settings of WLAN, mobile data network and Bluetooth (such as hotspot connection information and Bluetooth pairing information), and other mobile phone settings will not be restored.
If the problem still exists, please back up the data (QQ, WeChat and other third-party applications need to be backed up separately) and then take the purchase voucher to Huawei customer service center for testing and processing.
