At least 100 pieces of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" exist in the world. The "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" by the Song Dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan collected by the Forbidden City in Beijing is the original version (referred to as the Beijing version). The others are imitations of later generations, especially those in the Ming Dynasty. There are the most imitations in the Suzhou area, commonly known as "Suzhou pictures". The most famous one is probably the Qiu Ying version (referred to as the Liaoning version) collected by the Liaoning Provincial Museum. That painting forged the signature of Qiu Ying, a painter from the mid-Ming Dynasty. Qianlong also asked someone to draw "Along the River During the Qingming Festival", which resulted in the Qingyuan version of the National Palace Museum in Taipei (referred to as the Taipei version).
