How to make original records, four aspects that need special attention.

CNAS-CL0 1: 20 18 Article 7.5. 1

The laboratory should ensure that the technical record of each laboratory activity contains results, reports and sufficient information, so as to identify the factors that affect the measurement results and their measurement uncertainties if possible, and ensure that the laboratory activities can be repeated as close as possible to the original conditions. Technical records should include the date and person in charge of each laboratory activity and the results of data review. When observing or collecting, the original observation results, data and calculations shall be recorded and identified according to specific tasks.

The CNAS document only makes general provisions. What should be done to realize the actual operation of the laboratory?

The content of the original record

The original laboratory records generally include the following contents:

3) Methods used, including detection, calibration and sampling methods;

4) The environmental conditions of the experiment, including temperature and humidity conditions, should pay special attention to the experimental conditions when conducting experimental activities outside the laboratory;

5) The equipment used, main equipment and main auxiliary equipment shall be recorded;

6) Standard materials used;

7) Original observation results during the experiment;

8) Calculation based on experimental observation results;

9) personnel engaged in laboratory activities;

10) personnel who review the data;

Original recording mode

1) The original records of the laboratory shall be recorded in the record form or notebook;

2) The original recorded data can be directly entered into the information management system;

3) Original records can also be data automatically collected by equipment or information system.

4) Data changes automatically collected or directly input into the information management system shall meet the same requirements as paper records.

Transcription of original record

1) When the original records need to be sorted out or copied separately, the laboratory needs to keep the corresponding original records.

2) The laboratory shall not use blank pages to keep original records at will.
