2. Operation method of optical disc burning on UOS
3. Common burning problems
Overview of functions
Optical disc burning on UOS is convenient for users to store and download resources, interact with information and enjoy resources * * *, and improve office efficiency.
Function introduction
1. Understanding several optical drive states when using optical disc in UOS system
1. Optical drive states when no optical disc is put in the optical drive:
2. Recognized states after UDF-type optical disc is put in the optical drive: (Auto-mount has not been double-clicked)
3. The state when the optical drive icon is double-clicked, the document tube automatically mounts UDF-format optical disc: (After auto-mount, there will be. ISO966, etc.)
4. The UDF format in the CD-ROM interface does not support the screenshot of the burn reminder for the time being: (The burn button is grayed out automatically and cannot be clicked)
2. How to burn a CD on UOS
1. Use the burn function that comes with the UOS system. Operating steps: put a new CD into the CD-ROM drive, directly select the file, right-click it to send it to the CD, and then open the CD window in the file manager, which will appear in the upper right corner.
Third, common burning problems
1. The CD burned by Windows can't be read on uos and can't be additionally burned. Scenario: The CD burned under win7 can't be read under UOS; Or the CD burned under Win, and then incremental additional burning on UOS, can not be burned.
cause of the problem: UDF format is used by default in win, while ISO966 format is used in UOS system. Due to the compatibility between UDF file format and ISO966 file format, it cannot be recognized under UOS.
solution: at present, the UDF format CD used for Windows on UOS system supports mounting, reading and displaying; However, the technical problem of burning is still being tackled. In view of the fact that UDF format discs cannot be burned additionally, it is planned to add prompt information to avoid the influence of additional burning, and at the same time, the third-party tool scheme is adopted to temporarily solve the burning problem. The cross-platform additional burning scheme of UDF format itself is also the same problem for other distribution operating systems. Therefore, the new CD needs to be burned on UOS or on Windows system by selecting the ISO966/Joliet file system type through the third-party tool Power2Go, so that its file system can be finalized in ISO966 format, which can support cross-platform reading and additional burning. Power2Go Introduction: A burning software on Windows platform, with simple operation and friendly interface, supports many types of CDs. Both it and UOS support Iso966 file system, so using Power2Go+ UOS's own burning tool can add burning between Windows and UOS. Usage steps of Power2Go burning CD: download Power2Go.exe from Baidu. After installation, the software startup interface is as shown in the following figure. Generally, select data CD-DVD, and operate the file selection in sequence according to the actual situation.
Select the data to be burned from the upper window and drag it directly into the lower window.
Manually select the file system: ISO966/joliet
Put the burned CD into the unified desktop operating system. Put the CD back in win7 and add new contents:
2. The Chinese file name burned on UOS is displayed as horizontal lines or garbled codes on Windows. This problem has been merged into 13 and can be solved by upgrading the system.
3. The CD burned under Windows is locked and read-only after being copied to the local area on UOS, and cannot be edited. This problem has been merged into 13 and can be solved by upgrading the system.
4. The main reason why the file name in the CD contains special characters leads to the flashback of the document tube is that the naming of the file name in the CD does not conform to the naming standard, and the document tube burning is based on Qt development, and it will not be processed when it encounters the file name that cannot be resolved at present, which leads to the collapse of the document tube. This problem has been merged into 132, and it can be solved by upgrading the system.
5. After cutting files/folders to add to the burning list, you quit burning halfway. The main reason for the loss of the cached files to be burned is that the old version quits burning, and the temporary files will be deleted regardless of whether the burning is successful or not. The 14 version has been modified to delete the temporary files only when the burning is successful, and it is not recommended to import the files to be burned by cutting for the old version.
6. When multiple files (depending on the file name length, generally more than 3) are burned at one time, it will lead to burning. If you look at the log, you will find that the burning process is stuck when importing file, which is a known Bug. It has been fixed in version 1..5 of libgenudfimage, and it is planned to be incorporated into this revised version in version 15.
iv. introduction of optical disc media types: erasable optical discs include CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-/+R, DVD-/+RW, etc. Among them, CD-R and DVD-/+R support single recording (additional recording is also supported, but erasing is not supported); CD-RW and DVD-/+rw support repeated erasing (also support additional recording). For erasable optical discs, such as CD-RW, after burning files, the optical disc only has the function of reading; If you need to erase, uninstall first, and then right-click to select Erase; At present, only full erasure is supported, and individual files cannot be deleted.
v. UDF format support
1. UDF version 1.2 is the earliest and first revised version, which belongs to the version adopted in the Win98 era, and has supported version 2.1 since WinXP.
2. Desktop Professional Edition version 14 began to support UDF format version 1.2 burning and additional burning, but it did not support high version UDF format burning.
3. At present, UDF burning function only supports DVD-/+R type discs, CD-R/RW type discs have been supported since version 142, and DVD-RW is still not supported and there is no development plan. ISO966 format is recommended for DVD-RW type discs.
4. At present, Win7 and Win1 use UDF version UDF2.1 by default when directly formatting optical discs, and it is no longer supported to select the earlier version 1.2. (The file system version selected by direct format operation is not the same as the file system version written during direct recording, so it is not recommended to fix the UDF format version by formatting.)
5. When "For CD/DVD player" mode is selected during direct recording in Win1 system, UDF version UDF1.2 will be automatically used for recording, in which case it can be identified and additional recording can be performed in UOS system 14 environment.
6. When selecting "Similar to USB flash drive" mode for direct recording in Win1 system, UDF version UDF2.1 will be automatically used for recording. In this case, copying files can be recognized and viewed in UOS system 14 environment, but additional recording is not supported.
