Pause indicates a coordinate relationship. A pause is a pause between juxtaposed words or phrases. In Chinese, it has two main purposes: to separate similar juxtaposed things, usually single words, words or short sentences, in which the pause is shorter than a comma, and to separate the serial number from the text with the serial number of Chinese characters. The usage of pause is as follows: it is used to separate coordinate words in sentences. Used between repeated words that need to be paused.
This kind of pause often appears in civil code, contract law and other legal norms. Take Article 490 of the Civil Code as an example. The content of this clause is: (1) If the parties conclude a contract in the form of a contract, the contract is established when the parties sign and seal it or fingerprint it. (Paragraph 2) Before signing, sealing or fingerprinting, a contract is established when one party has fulfilled its main obligations and the other party has accepted them.
