April 23, 2006, March 26, Bingxu Year of the Lunar Calendar: The Second Troupe of Guangdong Chao Theater performed in Hainan for the first time

The Second Troupe of Guangdong Chao Theater performed in response to the Hainan Province Chaozhou Business Economy At the invitation of the Promotion Association, performances were held at the Great Hall of the People in Haikou, Sanya Beauty Crown and Nantian Farm from April 23 to April 26.

The Second Troupe of Guangdong Chaozhou Theater has more than 80 actors and actresses going to Qiong this time. The performances include traditional plays, costume plays, new historical plays and excerpts. The repertoire includes four excerpts: "Reply to the Letter", "Assassination of Liang Ji", "Broken Bridge Party", "Havoc in Kaifeng" and a full-scale historical legendary Teochew opera "The Legend of the Yinu". Among the specially invited performers are: Zheng Jianying, a national first-class actor and a famous Teochew opera performing artist; Huang Shengdian, a national second-class actor and a famous Teochew opera performing artist; Zhan Shaojun, a national second-class actor and leader of the second troupe of Chaozhou Opera; and the second troupe of Chaozhou Opera Excellent actors such as deputy leader Xie Jishun and famous veteran of Chaozhou Theater Zhang Guikun. A group of outstanding young actors also showed the Hainanese audience the style of Teochew opera art in the new era through their distinctive acting skills.
