It is not considered public for a trainee lawyer to call himself a lawyer in the circle of friends.
Training lawyers usually need to pass the national judicial examination to obtain a lawyer qualification certificate after completing legal studies. Only after obtaining the practicing qualification can they be called registered lawyers. Before obtaining the lawyer qualification certificate, trainee lawyers are usually regarded as interns or assistants in the legal industry and cannot practice independently. Trainee lawyers do not have an independent professional identity as lawyers and cannot represent themselves as lawyers in public, promotional materials or business communications. Otherwise, they may violate legal regulations and cause legal risks and adverse effects to themselves and the law firm.
Training lawyers may gain the trust and support of friends and receive consultation opportunities. In this case, if the trainee lawyer refers to himself as a lawyer, it may give an inaccurate impression to friends and lead to misunderstandings.
