If the ownership of a registered motor vehicle is transferred, the owner of the motor vehicle shall apply for transfer registration at the motor vehicle management office within 30 days from the date of delivery of the motor vehicle. Before applying for transfer registration, the owner of a motor vehicle shall deal with the illegal acts of road traffic safety and traffic accidents involving the vehicle.
I. The vehicle transfer process is as follows:
1. Approval form for motor vehicle change, transfer, modification, suspension and scrapping;
2, stamped with the same seal as the original registration, private cars must submit the owner's ID card;
3. Go to the traffic police detachment vehicle management department to register and accept the post-delivery manager's audit. Vehicles that meet the transfer conditions shall be sent to the motor vehicle inspection station for inspection and identification;
4. After passing the inspection, go directly to the license management post and notify the payment.
II. The materials required for car transfer are as follows:
1, the identity certificate of the current motor vehicle owner;
2. Certificates and vouchers for the transfer of ownership of motor vehicles;
3. Motor vehicle registration certificate;
4. Motor vehicle driver's license;
5. Motor vehicles under customs supervision shall also submit the cancellation certificate of vehicles under customs supervision in People's Republic of China (PRC) or the transfer certificate approved by the customs;
6. Motor vehicles that exceed the validity period of inspection shall also submit the certificate of motor vehicle safety and technical inspection and the compulsory insurance certificate for traffic accident liability.
In short, the vehicle transfer does not need to be present in person. You can entrust an agent to handle the vehicle transfer procedures on your behalf, but the ID card you hold in the process of handling should be the owner's own ID card. If the owner cannot be present in person, the entrusted agent shall hold a valid written power of attorney and identification materials.
