Vienna, the capital of Austria, is the largest city and political center in Austria, located on the Danube. When I came to Vienna, the first scenic spot I visited was:
1, St. Stephen's cathedral
When I came to the church, two towers rose into the sky. Its south tower is as high as 137 meters, second only to Cologne Cathedral in Germany. The fairy clouds on the top of the tower are entangled, and the birds in the sky dare not approach. God is there to observe the universe, strategize and dominate the starry sky and the earth. This gothic tower seems to extend infinitely upward, showing the supreme sense of holiness of God and giving the world the impression that God is omnipotent. Around this big minaret, there are countless small minarets that are carefully carved, as if they were the dazzling crowns of Vienna. It is said that the North Tower was originally planned to compete with the South Tower in Qi Fei, but due to financial constraints, it was only built to 65 meters. Renaissance-style green hat dome looks like China's official hat, and it is also very interesting! The south tower is high and the north tower is low, forming a rugged beauty. This church, like a mountain, was built in 1 147 years, and it took four centuries of long construction and expansion to reach its present scale. Despite several wars, it was destroyed and revived. She has stood proudly for more than 870 years, and has trained religious believers in Qian Qian with absolute distinction between good and evil! This is the reason why European and American churches are "tall" and numerous!
We entered the church from the south gate, and there was a hole in the sky, just like entering the fairy hall of the Shenfu. The hall is spacious and has a structure of three halls, each separated by clusters of pillars. The pillars are all gray and stony, as bright as bamboo joints and as smooth as jade belts. They are 38.9 meters high, with straight lines, slender and steep, and the top is bent to form a beautiful cross structure, connecting from one end of the zenith column to the other. The space is tall, giving people a light and slender feeling, and the gray stone pillars are carved, which has a natural and primitive feeling and creates a quiet and self-cultivation atmosphere for the gods. The whole church is 107 meters long and 34 meters wide, and there are no closed chapels on both sides. The sun shines through the high painted windows, mysterious and mysterious, covering the temple! My heart rate is extremely slow, only 52 beats per minute. At this time, my heart is also beating fast. That is the purification of my soul! I carefully studied the tall and slender stone pillars and carved many life-size colored statues of sages. They are interested in writing, standing or sitting, walking or flying, which makes people think. Seeing the image of the virgin Mary holding a baby, I think of the story that she was chased by bad people in Jerusalem; Seeing the missionary map of Jesus Christ, I thought of the terrible situation of his crucifixion; When I saw the twelve apostles of Jesus, I thought of the tragic deaths of most of them. Alas, it is not easy to be a saint, and mortals should cherish themselves! The three halls and long wooden benches of the church are full of believers attending mass, listening to God's instructions. I wonder what they are thinking at the moment. Although they are very different, their desire for goodness should be the same. On one side of the hall, there is a special lighting place. The lamp pool is like a sea of fire; A lampstand, such as a volcano. This custom, like ours in the East, is to light a lamp and make a wish for believers! Make a wish, isn't that an oath to be a man? Ah, this lamp is a street lamp that leads people to light!
On the south side of the main altar, there is a huge sarcophagus, which is the coffin tomb of Frederick III, the last holy Roman emperor crowned by the Pope (14 15-1493). The sculptor used a red marble with white patterns made in Austria, which was rich, thick, warm and smooth. The huge sarcophagus in Dali alone weighs 8 tons and looks like a two-story ship, with flowers carved with concave and convex patterns and Frederick III in a coronation dress. This is the first coffin in ancient and modern times! Frederick III ruled the Kingdom of Germany for 53 years and was the longest-serving holy Roman emperor. He was buried here by power!
Thanks to thousands of great craftsmen and skilled workers, the construction and expansion of St. Stephen's church took four centuries. Craftsmen also skillfully left their place in this sacred hall with their meager design and carving rights. Look, craftsman "Pilgram": big eyes, big mouth, high nose, smiling, wearing a working hat, holding carving tools, looking out of the window. Write his initials under the window and write down the construction time: "1880" year. The artist who is enjoying the work "pilgrimage" is the artist who hangs beams, columns, statues and decorative patterns in the niche!
There is also a craftsman whose initials are "M.A.P". He is wearing a brown cotton-padded coat, a yellow triangular ruler in his hand, and a black hat with a head like the canopy umbrella used by Emperor China during his inspection. He looked at the carved beams and painted buildings in China. The author of these exquisite works is him, whose initials are "M.A.P", and the sculpture time is written in the year "15 15" at the bottom of the picture. In early Gothic architecture, artists were forbidden to sign their works. Later, in Renaissance architecture, the human spirit was high and artists were allowed to sign, which was the progress of the times!
From these architectural works of different ages, we can clearly see that St. Stephen's Cathedral was built through the unremitting efforts of more than ten generations!
We are not satisfied to see this. We asked Miss Mei, a local tour guide, to help us buy joint tickets and continue to "chase".
Go to the North Tower first. There is an elevator. It is convenient to go up and down the stairs. There is a 20-ton bronze bell named "Pumerlin" on the tower, which was cast with weapons and armor obtained in the war. At the beginning of the new year, thousands of Viennese listen to the bells in the square in front of Stephen's church and celebrate the new year with each other!
After that, visit the South Tower. There is no elevator in the South Tower, only stairs and 343 steps. The stairs are narrow and turn. We are sweating like a pig, but we have God in our hearts, and we have fun when we are tired. Halfway through, wow, the beauty of the church roof appeared before our eyes: the church roof with huge slope was dazzling! The inclined plane starts from half the height of the external wall of the church, extends obliquely upward for 40 meters, with a width of 34 meters and a length of 1 10 meters, covering the three-column gallery. This sloping roof is equal to a huge color drawing board, some with water ripples and some with square patterns, with bright colors. All the roofs are paved with 250,000 colored tiles. With 230,000 special glazed tiles, the Habsburg family emblem, the Austrian national emblem and the Vienna city emblem were made. This is the unique magical roof in the world!
There is a double-headed eagle emblem on the south roof, representing the Habsburg royal family, which is not photographed here. These three eagle emblems record the process of Austrian political transformation. I think: St. Stephen's Cathedral is a big family where countries, kings, saints, sages, craftsmen and the public live in harmony. Architectural art subtly hints at the theme of the Catholic Pope!
Then, we climbed up and down, like climbing the hero slope of Lushan Mountain and climbing to the observation deck of the South Tower. We have a panoramic view of the magnificent scenery of the ancient city of Vienna: high-rise buildings and colorful, like a fairy tale world. The most magical scenery is the South Tower itself. In history, when Otto Turks besieged Vienna twice, it was used as a watchtower and command center. Until 1955, the south tower was also used as a fire alarm tower at night. What's even more novel is that there is even a souvenir shop in this tower, and the clerk goes out to work on the ladder every day. That's a godsend!
On the "ladder", we went back to "hell" and looked at the catacombs. Enter the tomb through a room under the North Tower. Ah, there is a symbolic chapel inside. There is a carved stone table with a white candle on it on the two stone steps. This small church is a place where ghosts are taught, which shows that Catholicism attaches importance to the afterlife, which is the same as our Buddhism. There are about 65,438+00,000 bones of Vienna citizens in the tomb. The internal organs of members of the Habsburg dynasty were stored here, the bodies were buried in the royal tombs under Capuzi Church, and the hearts were placed in Augustine Church. The body was buried in three places, which shows that the church is the home of the royal family. It is not bad that the remains of Vienna citizens live in harmony with Habsburg nobles in a grave. How many people in the world can have this blessing?
