Far away, such as Wei Chuhou, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty, served as an official in Kaixian County for three years and later became the prime minister of the imperial court. During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, Li Zongxi, a native of Kaixian County, was appointed Governor of the Two Rivers and was listed as one of the 700 ministers of the Qing Dynasty. During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, in order to oppose the Qing government's signing of the "treaty of shimonoseki of China and Japan", more than 200 juren/kloc-0 who were taking the exam in Beijing jointly wrote a letter and launched a "bus petition". Among them, six Kaixian county juren participated in the signature, accounting for nearly one tenth of the total number of juren signatures in Bashu and Sichuan, so Kaixian county is known as the "hometown of raising children". During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, General Wang Runbo and others 1378 Kaixian people died for their country; In the heroic struggle of Hongyan, there were 14 Kaixian people who died in Zhazidong. They were totally loyal, and none of them defected. They wrote a glorious page with the spirit of Hongyan. What makes us proud is that Kaixian County also gave birth to Marshal Liu Bocheng of the Republic of China.
