The original text of this poem is:
Once upon a time, the sea was difficult to overcome,
Except for Wushan, it was not a cloud.
Let’s take a look back at Huacong Lazy,
I am half destined to practice Taoism and half destined to be a king.
Tang Dynasty——Yuan Zhen
The poet wrote it after his wife died and became a Taoist priest. It is a poem in memory of my wife.
The general idea is that I have seen the water of the sea, and if I look at other lakes and rivers, they are incomparable. I have seen the clouds and rain in Wushan, but I can no longer see anything else. I am now a monk, half of it is for spiritual practice, but half of the reason is because of you. (By this you mean the poet’s wife)
