Synopsis:
TV detective based on sign of four in Sherlock Holmes' adventure. The plot revolves around a mysterious imaginary murder case, a box of missing jewels and a note with four signatures. Holmes judges that the criminal is a disabled man with a crutch and an Indian indigenous dwarf, and uses hounds to track the smell. After some chasing in the Thames, he finally catches the real murderer and exposes a treasure-stealing incident that happened in India six years ago. Fraser Clark Heston, the director, has a fluent narrative technique and mastered the suspense and reasoning atmosphere of detective films quite well. Excellent photography also sets off the atmosphere of the British times and the exotic flavor of India very well.

. Describing the foolish brother of British detective Sherlock Holmes, because he is lucky enough to be caught between a disguised opera actress and an omnipresent professor, thus solving a mysterious international espionage case. Following the style of his master Mel Brooke, the director made a big joke about Sherlock Holmes' films, but most of the scenes were aimless, and only some fragments showed comedy brilliance.

On the screen, the special feature of this film is that in addition to maintaining the suspense and reasoning interest of the detective itself, director Peter Will also spent a lot of time depicting the inner world of the hero, hoping to create a flesh-and-blood Sherlock Holmes. The plot is adapted from Conan Doyle's original Bruce Pattington Plan, which describes that Holmes went to Scotland to look for her missing husband at the invitation of a woman, but was involved in an international spy war, almost capsized in the gutter, and was used by German spies to destroy the British submarine plan. The whole film was shot on the spot in Britain, which has a unique regional flavor. Commenting on the detective role is British actor Robert Stevens, and playing assistant Watson is another British actor Colin Blackley.
