None of this, however, excuses the errors in the Harry Potter films. The mistakes listed below are not adjustments made to adapt to changes in media, but mistakes that violate the "rules" established in the book or can be easily avoided. These mistakes are annoying and should be avoided.

Errors in the movie

The Gryffindor boys' party on the Hogwarts Express at the beginning of the school year has also been axed.
