-Director, chief winemaker
"Breaking the world record in the London International Wine Challenge and winning the world's first black Pi Nuo trophy three times in a row."
Grant Taylor is one of the most award-winning winemakers in New Zealand. During his long career, he won numerous gold medals and trophies. However, apart from him, no one has won the "Best Black Pi Nuo" trophy for three consecutive times in the London International Wine Competition, one of the largest wine competitions in the world, which is unprecedented in the world.
During 18' s brewing career, he set foot in America, France, Hungary and New Zealand. 1988 returned to my hometown and insisted on the concept of "brewing Otago's most distinctive wine" as always.
In 1980s, he helped to establish Songling Winery in Follana, California, where he worked as an assistant winemaker until 1986. 1987, he helped to establish another winery, NAPA winery, and served as the chief winemaker until 1993. 1993 was attracted by the rich and vast land, pure air and sparsely populated potential of Otago, New Zealand, and worked as a master brewer at Gibston Winery.
As a pioneer in Otago winemaking, Grant has produced the most famous brands in this area, including Bode Valley, Carrick, felton Road, Eagle Head, Monteiro, Mount Edward, Mountain Difficult, Peregin, Red Stone Winery (Lake Aka Hannas), Thyme Valley and Van Ashe. Up to now, he has experienced 50 harvests, and he is full of expectations for the next 50 harvests.
Now, Grant Taylor is the director and chief winemaker of Crown Range Cellar, and has successfully brewed the "signature selection" series exclusively for us, which is limited and high-end. Each bottle of this wine has Grant Taylor's autograph and unique number, which is of great collection value and is Grant's proudest wine.
Give Taylor an award-winning honor
