Upon the expiration of the term of office of the villagers' committee, a general election shall be held in time. Chapter III Registration of Voters Article 10 Villagers who have reached the age of 18 have the right to vote and stand for election, regardless of nationality, race, sex, occupation, family background, religious belief, education level, property status and length of residence; However, except those who are deprived of political rights according to law.

The calculation time of the voter's age is based on the election day of the village. The date of birth of voters is based on the resident identity card; If there is no resident identity card, the household registration shall prevail. Eleventh voters should register in the village where the household registration is located. There are special circumstances, the household registration is not in the village, whether to register voters in the village, by the village specific election measures in accordance with the relevant provisions. Twelfth voters list should be posted twenty days before the election day.

If there are different opinions on the published list of voters, it shall be put forward to election of villagers committee within five days from the date of publication of the list of voters, and election of villagers committee shall be dealt with according to law ten days before the election day. Chapter IV Determination of Candidates Article 13 Where the election of villagers' committees is conducted by differential election, the voters shall directly nominate candidates.

Voters shall elect voters who are law-abiding, fair and honest, have a certain level of education and are enthusiastic about serving the villagers as candidates for members of villagers' committees.

The official candidates for the chairman and deputy director of the villagers' committee shall be one more than the number of places to be elected, and the official candidates for the members shall be one to three more than the number of places to be elected.
