Instructions for Canadian Private Visa

Applicants need to provide:

1 The passport has at least one blank page, and the passport must be valid for at least until the applicant plans to leave Canada One month after departure. Note: If you have an old passport, please provide it too. Originals and copies

2 Passport photos Four passport-sized photos (with a frame size of at least 35 mm x 45 mm and taken within six months), with clear printed pinyin on each photo Please indicate the applicant’s name and date of birth (day/month/year) on the back of the photo. Original copy

3 Completely completed personal information form

5 A copy of the education and employment details form Completely completed education and employment details form

7 A letter of leave approval from the company, if you are employed, with the name of the company on company letterhead Original leave approval letter signed by the employer, containing the following information: applicant’s name, position, and current salary. This letter must contain the employer's name, address, telephone number and fax number in Chinese (or provide 3 blank company letterheads signed by the employer and stamped with the company's official seal) originals

8 Company's business license application The company’s business license (the copy must be stamped with the company’s seal). Copy

9 Retirement certificate, if retired, the original and copy of the retirement certificate indicating the applicant’s pension

12 Fund proof, original current passbook (at least the last 6 months) records), original bank statements (with records for the past 6 months or more, and stamped by the bank), or certificate of deposit. (Note: If you are providing proof of funds for your spouse, please provide the original and copy of your marriage certificate.) Original and copy

13 Proof of assets in China, such as real estate certificate, motor vehicle registration certificate, etc. The more the better. Originals and copies

14 Proof of relationship with the Canadian inviter, such as birth certificate/marriage certificate/correspondence certificate, notarized copies of relatives

The Canadian inviter needs to provide:
