?This is the first time VV has published a book, and it sets foot in a beautiful and culturally rich country - Greece and the ancient city-states of the Aegean Sea. I could not imagine how romantic this would be, VV The words, the figure of VV, combined with such a beautiful situation, this is such an intoxicating feast for the soul.
?I can’t speak of expert analysis. To be honest, I just looked at the promotional posters and part of the artistic conception, and I thought it was incredibly beautiful. I feel that a thousand readers will have a thousand Hamlets, beautiful or not. Beauty comes from the heart. The description of beauty is love at first sight. The book is so poetic and picturesque. I have been admiring Song for 5 years. I am willing to use my feelings to understand his description. I can feel the incomparable comfort. You feel it, you understand it, you will like it, it’s that simple.
I think there must be a deeper meaning. I can only say that this is my own speculation. First of all, there is nothing wrong with the pursuit of beauty and truth. In fact, what is a living condition that is truly suitable for human beings to live in? Sometimes we are all blinded by our limited space and cognitive limitations. I think what VV can bring to me is to break through limitations and constantly seek and dare to seek truth, goodness and beauty. Listening to his Carrots and Tearing Down the East Wall, etc., you can feel the looming depression. What the words express, maybe we all know it well, we all want to love life, love the people around us, and love the land under our feet. The land that nourishes us, but what can we do? I can only be myself and influence some people around me. . .
Xu Song introduced this book like this:
In this collection of photographic essays, I used images and words to record a period of travel life in Greece. At the same time, I was also People who record and are photographed. With this visual diary of text + photography + portraits, we revisit the ancient city-states on the Aegean Sea and share with readers what the Easterners thought about the ancient Western civilization. If I have any expectations, it is that I am looking forward to connecting to more screams through it - just like we look for screams in music.
Let me share a little about the process of writing the book. ? The first 1/3:
Me under the photographer’s lens. (Xu Song*** took more than 70,000 pictures in Greece, and needed to choose more than 100 pictures. VV said: I almost decided whether to choose each picture at a glance. "Let the emotions flow through the pages of pictures. "Get up", this is the main basis for selecting and sorting these nearly a hundred photos. It's a very handsome and beautiful way to select, is there any...)
?Photos, photos, and writing the truth. But photography master Hiroshi Sugimoto said bluntly: "To say that photos don't lie is a lie in itself." In terms of ordinary portrait photography, we are always pursuing various angles, various compositions, various lighting, and various pre- and post-production processes. Software and hardware technology takes "making a person more elegant, better-looking, more attractive and story-telling than usual" as the standard for "good", right?
?During the whole process of filming, the photographer and I discussed and reached a consensus: I would rather be unrealistically beautiful than unreally beautiful, no matter the scenery or the people. It makes no sense to me to make blockbusters that are "good-looking" but have a similar feel to the countless artists he has photographed. We must give up poses, give up routines, give up playing with light and shadow too much, and even give up the concept of portraits: we don’t have to consider that these photos will be published with text, but we have to set in our hearts that these photos will not be seen by anyone. I would only put it in a photo frame on my desk at home as a souvenir—does this allow me to let go of the subconscious restraint and take photos more purely?
Second 1/3
My photography. Taking pictures as you go and recording every moment is a living habit of many people, but each has a different perspective. I have always believed that real touching moments always lie in the ordinary. I barely photographed the iconic scenes, thinking they were tired of being photographed and didn’t need to be bothered anymore. What I took were just ordinary pictures that made me "have something to say". VV also pays close attention to current affairs and expressed sadness about the incident involving melon farmers. This touched a lot of people. When the media asked me what plans or dreams I had for the future, I always answered blankly that I have no dreams. Really, it is boring for a person who is over fifty years old to talk about dreams. Open your eyes and look at the life in front of you and everything around you.
Live your every day life down-to-earth and seriously. As for the belief deep down in my heart - I am determined not to talk about it. So cool, (*^__^*) hee hee...
The third 1/3
My text. In "Light on the Sea", I did not describe each photo in a narration style. "Light on the Sea - Xu Song" did not choose a one-to-one arrangement of pictures and text. Sometimes the text is the protagonist and seems to have nothing to do with the photos; sometimes a series of photos is allowed to connect the plot without a word; sometimes the handwritten notes are simply scanned into the book - in short, it is a Casual. Talk about Greek history, Greek philosophy, Greek drama, good wine, delicious food, beauties... The pen will follow your heart, without any restraint. (The pen follows the heart, without any restraint. This sentence shows the freedom and ease of VV)
Therefore, "Aura on the Sea" is neither a photography album, nor a personal portrait, nor a collection of essays - —But it’s all there.
"Sea Aura" is not a "peripheral product", but a core work like my music album. I don’t know how many collections of photography essays of the same type have the protagonist communicating with the photographer himself, choosing photos, writing articles, arranging them, and specifying the binding method and paper texture, but at least I did it so seriously. You can’t say I’m dedicated because I don’t see it as work at all—I just love what I do. When readers finish reading it, they can feel some of the author's intentions and have some room for unexplained aftertaste, that would be great.
"Sea Emmanuel" will be released in August 2013 and will be available for pre-sale exclusively on Xu Song's official forum on July 31. I've already made a reservation and am looking forward to it.
The answer to the question of the questioner: "Induction cooker for pregnant women" is over, I hope it will be adopted.
