1, enamel color, one of the decorative techniques of porcelain, originated from the technique of painting enamel color. Porcelain with enamel decoration technique, that is, enamel porcelain (officially named "porcelain tire painting enamel") is also often called enamel. Enamel color is an over-glaze color decoration technique that transplants enamel color technique to porcelain tire, and it is later called "ancient" and "rose color" abroad. Enamel color was founded in the late Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty and further developed in Yongzheng period.
2. Enamel-colored porcelain is a new variety of colored porcelain successfully transplanted to porcelain tires at the behest of Emperor Kangxi in the late Qing Dynasty. The output was the highest in Yongzheng and Qianlong periods, and it was very small after Qianlong. During the Qianlong period, the enamel porcelain collected in the palace was once stored in Duanning Hall, and according to the records, there were more than 400 pieces. According to the records in the court archives of Qing Dynasty and the logo of the original box of enamel porcelain, the official name of enamel porcelain should be "porcelain embryo painting enamel". Enamel porcelain is a work of art for emperors to enjoy, and the court control is extremely strict.
3. The white porcelain tire needed to make it is provided by Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory. After being transported to the palace, at the emperor's behest, the enamel was carefully drawn by the court painter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the court literati wrote poems and signed them. Finally, it is baked in a charcoal furnace at about 600℃. Enamel is a special color material that has been artificially fired. Before the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), it had to be imported from Europe. Six years after Yongzheng, the construction department of Qing Palace has been able to smelt more than 20 kinds of enamel color materials by itself, and the colors are richer than those imported, which has made the production of enamel color porcelain develop by leaps and bounds. During the reign of Kangxi, enamel porcelain was mainly made of carmine, egg yolk and blue, and a unique vessel for painting enamel on Yixing purple sand tires appeared. The typical enameled porcelain in Yongzheng and Qianlong periods is an artistic treasure integrating poetry, calligraphy, painting and printing, and it is the product of the peak of ancient colored porcelain technology in China.
