1. Both men and women who require marriage registration apply to the district/county civil affairs bureau or the marriage registration authority of the town people's government with the required documents * * *;

2. Both parties apply to the marriage registration office in person, and each party fills in a declaration of application for marriage registration;

3. Both parties must personally sign or press their fingerprints in the declarant column of the marriage registration statement in front of the marriage registrar;

4. The marriage registration authority shall examine the documents and statements submitted by both parties, and register those that meet the requirements for marriage registration.

The documents required to apply for marriage registration are as follows:

1, my permanent residence booklet, resident ID card, first-generation or second-generation resident ID card can be used;

2. I have no spouse certificate;

3. The parties submit three 2-inch recent half-length bareheaded color group photos, which can be taken directly at the Civil Affairs Bureau or in advance, with eyebrows and ears exposed.

To sum up, although China's laws give every citizen the right to get married, not all citizens can become the subject of marriage. Only those who have reached the legal age for marriage can enjoy the right to get married, have suitable physical and psychological conditions, fulfill the obligations of husband and wife, and assume the responsibilities of the family and society.

Article 1049 of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC)

Both men and women who want to get married should apply for marriage registration in person at the marriage registration office. Those who meet the requirements of this law shall be registered and issued a marriage certificate. The marriage relationship is established when the marriage registration is completed. Those who have not registered for marriage shall re-register.

Article 1050

After registered marriage, according to the agreement between men and women, the woman can become a member of the man's family, and the man can become a member of the woman's family.

Article 41 of the Provisional Regulations on Marriage Registration.

The marriage certificate shall be issued in the presence of both parties in accordance with the following steps:

(1) Require both parties to check their names and marriage wishes;

(two) to inform the parties of the legal relationship and the rights and obligations of husband and wife after receiving the marriage certificate;

(three) witness the parties personally sign the "marriage registration review processing form", and sign the fingerprint column and press the fingerprint;

The parties shall sign the certificate and press the fingerprint column, which shall not be blank and shall not be filled in or pressed by others.

(four) to issue marriage certificates to both parties to the marriage registration, announce to both parties that they have received marriage certificates, and establish the relationship between husband and wife;
