Zhu Yuanzhang liked his nephew Li Wenzhong very much and often sent him to inspect the army with the generals. Ming Taizu awarded Li Wenzhong the founding of the People's Republic of China and promoted Chen Wu in Nathan Scott Lee, and made a special trip to appoint Dr. Rong Lu, the State of You Zhu, and the Prefecture of Metropolitan Government as the left governor, sealing Cao Guogong. After the initial stability of the Ming regime, Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming emperor, began to kill heroes. In the 13th year of Hongwu (1380), Zhu Yuanzhang executed Prime Minister Hu for bending the law and treason, involving as many as ten thousand victims.
At this time, everyone inside and outside the court was in danger. Deeply disturbed by what Ming Taizu did, Li Wenzhong ascended the throne twice: first, he advised the emperor to levy the Japanese, and second, he advised officials to go too far, which meant that the son of heaven did not go near to punish others. These two memorials were shelved, but they didn't annoy my uncle. Li Wenzhong, who fought for Daming, believed that heroes would lay a solid foundation for Ming Taizu, and emperors and heroes would share the joy of peace, thus winning the hearts of the people and consolidating the political power. Li Wenzhong saw the hero of the Taizu Massacre, the country lost its vitality and the regime was in jeopardy. Li Wenzhong is determined to risk his life to protest again. Li Wenzhong wants to contact several prestigious ministers to protest. But Chang Yuchun, the deputy general at that time, died as early as two years in Hongwu. Strategist Liu Yihongwu avoided disaster for four years. "He was still hiding in the mountains, only drinking and playing chess, not talking about it." Hongwu died in eight years. General Xu Da has always been "respectful before the emperor". Da dare not come out to remonstrate. Who else dares to come out and protest against the hero of the Ming Taizu Massacre?
Li Wenzhong had to make a desperate suggestion. Before leaving, he asked his wife to teach the children well, and then said goodbye to her. Li Wenzhong Curt, pass the newspaper. Ming Taizu opened the newspaper when he read: "Traitors and thieves will be punished, but only by slandering and killing innocent people through practice, people will not feel safe and hurt the vitality of the country." I haven't finished reading it yet, and my face has already changed. He suddenly left his seat and pointed angrily at Wen Zhong and said, "This kid is bold and full of nonsense. I beheaded the crime of treason, what's it to you? " Throw away the paper. Li Wenzhong replied fearlessly, "Your Majesty has killed all the heroes. Once there is a police or rebellion in the frontier, who will serve the country at that time? " May your majesty think twice. "Uncle Zhu Yuanzhang put on the emperor's shelf and flew into a rage." Li Wenzhong, aren't you afraid of death? "I will help you and kill you together. See who dares to speak again. " Wen Zhong protested: "Wen Zhong deserves to die. May your majesty think more about the country and the people. " Zhu Yuanzhang ordered the samurai to put Wen Zhong in prison and behead him.
Li Wenzhong's warning that he was jailed for beheading soon reached the palace. Ma Huanghou was taken aback. When Mao returned to the palace, he saw Ma Huanghou sitting there with two lines of tears on his face and asked, "What happened to the queen?" The queen replied, "I heard that your majesty wants to behead Wenzhong, and I am sorry for him? There are dozens of relatives in your majesty's family, all of whom have passed away, leaving only Wen Zhong. I heard that your majesty was going to kill Wenzhong, and my concubine was sad for him! Wenzhong is the founding minister and your nephew. Can't you spare his life? " Words, Ming Taizu moved compassion, pardoned Wen Zhong's death penalty, but cut off the official position, claustrophobic at home. After Li Wenzhong lived in seclusion, he was depressed all day. Two years later, he died at the age of 46.

Throughout the ages, countless loyal ministers and celebrities have gone down in history. Even in the Southern Tang Dynasty of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Li Yu, the late ruler, was quite fatuous as a king, and there were many loyal ministers under him. Unfortunately, most of these brave people are drowned in history.
Wang Huan who risked his life to persuade. Li Yu especially advocates Buddhism. He calls himself a Buddhist in Lianfeng and a hermit in Zhongshan. There is a Buddhist temple in the palace. He often invited eminent monks to give lectures and personally led Gong E's concubines to recite scriptures and worship Buddha, thus neglecting state affairs. Meanwhile, the two ministers protested one after another. As a result, one was sentenced and one was exiled. However, at that time, Wang Huan, a native of Shexian County, Anhui Province, once again risked his life to make suggestions regardless of his personal safety. In his last lecture, he said that Xiao Yan, the Emperor of A Liang in the Southern Dynasties, was superstitious about Buddhism. He once pricked his finger and copied scriptures with blood. His long hair was trampled by monks and he was willing to be a servant of Buddhism. Finally, he fell into a country, died and starved himself to death in the palace. Now your majesty believes in Buddhism. Although he is not as obsessed as Liang Wudi, I am afraid that he will inevitably make the same mistake in the future. Li Yu was very angry after reading the eulogy and cursed Wang Huan. Later, when I think about it, Wang Huan is sincere, and his courage and loyalty are admirable. So instead of dealing with Wang's crimes, he was promoted to an official position.
Li Xiong, full of loyalty. At that time, General Li Xiong was guarding the west of Nantang. When Song Jun came to attack, he commanded his soldiers to fight bloody battles and be invincible. I heard that Beijing was besieged, but he didn't sit idly by like others. He personally led the troops to the East for rescue, arranged the decisive battle between Liyang and Song Jun, and died in battle. His sons were all in the army, and they all died by the sword of Song Jun. Eight people in his family gave their lives for Nantang. It's a pity that they died for their country, but they didn't get the gift of the court. Later generations can only know their deeds from Wu Tang's records.
Mr. Wu, who vowed to protect the survival of Nantang. Ouyang Xiu once wrote the epitaph of Wu Mou for a monarch in the Southern Tang Dynasty, and this "Wu Mou" was also a loyal minister in the Southern Tang Dynasty. After Cao Bin led the army to conquer Chiyang, Song sent messengers to the counties to ask for it. Pengze County wanted to surrender in Kaesong, but Wu Mou, the chief book, said that it was an honor for a courtier to be loyal to his country and live and die with it, so he killed it and made up his mind to defend Pengze. After Li Yu surrendered, Wu Mou was captured by Song Jun, and the monarch of Song Jun blamed him for killing the emissary. Wu Mou said passionately, "Everyone is his own master, so it should be." Song Huipei obeyed his loyalty and let him go.
At first, the deeds of these loyal ministers in the Southern Tang Dynasty were rarely recorded in historical materials. It was not until the Southern Song Emperor ordered the compilation of the History of Nine Dynasties that they were scattered in other miscellaneous notes. Hong Mai, a famous litterateur in the Southern Song Dynasty, expressed his reverence for these people in his essays on Rongzhai. He said that if a historian can attach their names and deeds to Li Yuchuan, it will be the greatest comfort to the souls who died in their graves.
Li Yu didn't understand until he became a vassal that literature and art couldn't make the world harmonious, so he lamented in How many wars he fought: "In the past 40 years, our country has traveled 3,000 miles. Long Ta in Fengge, a cigarette in Yushu Qiongzhi. I've known him several times. Once I was classified as a minister, I bent down and took time. The most hasty day is to resign from the temple, and the teaching workshop is still playing a farewell song. Crying to Gong E, "Those loyal and benevolent people should be comforted to know the regret and pain of the king who perished.

On one occasion, on the advice of Feng Deyi, an official in charge of memorials, Emperor Taizong decided that all able-bodied men aged 18 and those who had never served in the army should join the army. But Wei Zhi didn't agree. Because according to the regulations at that time, the imperial edict must be signed by the remonstrator before it can take effect.
Emperor Taizong asked him, "Why don't you agree with this?"
Wei Zhi replied: "As a consultant, I have an obligation to point out to your Majesty that this violates the policy of governing the country and protecting the people. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, I made a rule that' a man can be a soldier at the age of 20 and can be exempted from service at the age of 60'. How can you change it casually? "
Emperor Taizong was very angry and accused loudly: "You are too stubborn!"
Wei Zhi did not give in and said earnestly, "Your Majesty! Fishing in the river can really catch a lot of fish, but there will be no fish next year; Burning forest and hunting will really hit a lot of prey, but there will be no wild animals next year. If/kloc-all able-bodied men over the age of 0/8 are recruited as soldiers, who will the national tax corvee ask in the future? "
Emperor Taizong suddenly realized this and withdrew his order.
