The seal of a Hong Kong company has three seals, the small one is the financial seal of invoices and receipts, and the long one is the official seal of signing contracts and agreements. One is steel seal, the biggest one. It can be seen at a glance that steel seals are generally not used for trade, which is also the most legal benefit. Generally, it will only be used for major events, financing or listing.

The official seals of Hong Kong companies are divided into four categories. The specific classification and specifications of official seals are as follows:

1, rectangular seal: also known as English signature seal, the specification is 57mm*22mm. The colors are mainly purple and blue. Generally used for bank account number (check, draft, withdrawal slip, bill transfer), contract signing, order, etc.

2. Oval seal: the specification is 45mm*30mm double frame. The outer ring is the English name of the company, with a small ellipse inside. Inside is the Chinese name of the company, mostly made of atomic seals, with purple and blue colors. Usually used to sign orders, invoices and receipts.

3. Small round seal: the specification is round 2 1mm, with inner rings on both sides, and the outer ring is the English name of the company, plus meters. The colors are blue and purple, and the materials are atomic seals. Usually used to sign documents, goods and invoices.

4. Steel seal: also called common seal, the specification is 40mm in diameter, and the company name is printed on it. When it is used, it is usually printed on the sticker first, and then the sticker is attached to the document.

The new Companies Ordinance, which came into effect on March 3, 20 14, has been revised compared with the old Companies Ordinance-from now on, Hong Kong companies can have no corporate seal. Although Hong Kong companies no longer need to prepare seals, most newly established Hong Kong companies will choose to prepare seals because of the deep-rooted "seal consciousness" in the Chinese community.
