The first Maserati car with the trident logo was launched in Targa Florio on April 25th, 1926/kloc-0. The Maserati Tipo 26, driven by Alfieri and designed and manufactured by Maserati Brothers, uses a 1.5-liter inline eight-cylinder engine with a top speed of 100 mph.
Alfieri's younger brother Mario designed the car as a trident on a leaf-shaped base. The design was inspired by Neptune, the city emblem of Bologna where the company is located. He holds a trident, a weapon that shows its great power, which indicates that Maserati will cause a great sensation in the world after it comes out.
