1. Design stamp theme:
Choose a theme: it can be your favorite animals, plants, scenery and so on. Determining the theme of stamps helps to plan the content of the painting.
Sketch design: draw a simple design in your mind or on paper and determine the theme image to be drawn.
2. Delineate the boundary of stamps:
Draw a stamp frame: use a ruler to gently outline the stamp frame. Usually, the stamp frame will be slightly thicker than the stamp pattern.
3. Draw a stamp pattern:
Start painting the theme: according to the designed theme, start painting the inside of the stamp. You can draw the outline with a pencil first.
Fill color: Fill the stamp pattern gently with colored pencils or pens, pay attention to the level and collocation of colors, and create rich visual effects.
4. Add details and textures:
Add details: according to the needs of the theme, add some details, such as eyes, hair, petals and so on. These details can make stamps more vivid.
Create textures: Use pencils or colored pens to create some textures, such as the texture of trees and the hair of animals.
5. Improve the border and stamp information:
Emphasize the border: If necessary, you can deepen the color of the stamp border to make it more clear and prominent.
Add stamp information: at the edge or bottom of the stamp, you can add some fictitious stamp information, such as country name, stamp face value, etc.
6. Adjustment and modification:
Inspection and adjustment: carefully check the details and overall effect of stamps, and correct some details or colors if necessary.
Finishing: If you want to add some special effects, such as light and shadow, you can add them in the right place.
7. Complete stamps:
Isochromatic drying: If wet pigments or watercolors are used, wait for the stamps to dry and ensure that the colors are not blurred or mixed.
Signature and date (optional): If you like, you can sign your name and date in the corner of the stamp as a sign of your work.
