Employees should use their sick leave slips to apply for leave in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the employer. If the employee is also unable to engage in work separately arranged by the employer, the labor appraisal committee shall conduct an appraisal of labor ability with reference to the appraisal standards for the degree of disability caused by work-related injuries and occupational diseases. Those who are identified as Levels 1 to 4 must quit their jobs, terminate the labor relationship, go through retirement and resignation procedures, and enjoy retirement and resignation benefits; those who are identified as Levels 5 to 10 must not terminate their labor contracts during the medical treatment period.
