The bass is mainly wood color. You can recognize the timbre of "sorry or please" in our performance. The original version uses big bass, which is crisp and textured, and the bass tone is rich. This timbre can't be imitated by electric bass. Some effectors try to make the electric bass imitate the sound of the big bass, but the effect is not ideal. The timbre I used in the performance of this song is a bright color that emphasizes the metallic texture, which can make this bass theme song enter a lively atmosphere and contrast with the dull sound to achieve the effect of mutual foil.
Metal timbre is not necessarily used in metal-style works, and bass timbre that emphasizes this timbre is more common in funk and other musical styles. The bright color of metal can make bass more spiritual and eye-catching in the band, and also make bass play a powerful skeleton role in the whole music. Many pop-slap may prefer this timbre, but it is not absolute, it depends on the music style.
Cadmium-dragging timbre generally appears in the walking bass of blues and jazz, giving people a feeling of laziness and adhesion. This timbre is also very attractive. On the one hand, it adds a sense of reality to the bass, on the other hand, it is not in a hurry, and it gives people a sense of hunger to continue listening to music in a subtle way, which is amazing.
The authentic bass tone is very good. Wood, workmanship, metal parts and circuits will all affect the timbre of the piano. Although the timbre of the piano is adjustable, the adjustable range is limited, and the higher the price of the piano, the more prominent its focus on a certain aspect of timbre. My bass is the brilliant bass of Warwick, Germany. He is a piano with a good metallic tone, but this does not mean that he is inferior to a bad brand piano in other aspects, but that he is good at playing strings and so on among pianos with the same price. He can also play jazz and other musical styles, but he may not be as good as Fanta's piano at the same price.
Better brand bass (small factory, signboard aside):
High price (tens of thousands):
Fanta: Excellent cadmium timbre, strong timbre expression and multi-player piano making. There are many styles suitable for many styles, among which his jazz bass is the best.
Warwick (I know it best): the first brand in Germany, with distinctive German characteristics and strong steel bars. Among them, the lowest-end cruisers are also more than 10 thousand yuan. Cruisers and colored lights can cope with a variety of styles; Thumb, Jazz and Mountain City performed well in jazz. The new supernatural model has a unique appearance and is suitable for avant-garde styles such as the new metal. Warwick's wood and workmanship are first-class. In addition to the supernatural, other styles can clearly see the texture of wood, noble and lovely. Representative figures: Sam Rivers of Soft Cookies, etc.
Yamaha: I have also seen Yamaha's Wanyuanqin in the market. To tell the truth, I don't like this brand, but we can trust the quality of his Wanyuan piano. However, according to the evaluation, there is nothing of their own, and the voice is very orthodox and rigid, stiff and not full, but this feature is also the favorite of some masters, because they can safely let the piano go along the style they want. Representative figures: Billy Sheeham, etc.
Musicman: a big American brand with Sting's signature bass. Use red peppers to make bass for fleas and other celebrities. Classic string timbre. The product design of 2 1 and the single rear pickup create a lot of convenience for the performance of strings, so musicman's performance in lighter music is slightly inferior, and when playing some solos (such as cold rainy nights), the problem of insufficient products has also become a problem (in fact, fender is the same, and the two brands are inextricably linked).
Medium and high price (5000~ 10000):
Ibana: The high-end products made in Japan should be the first in this price range (of course, it is not excluded that Ibanez also has products with a price of more than 10,000 yuan). Btb, sr- 4 digits (such as sr- 1004) and other models are well received in China. Ibana's piano has made great efforts in circuits and accessories, and its timbre and modeling can be applied to many musical styles. Ibana k5 is also the cheapest signature piano I have ever seen and tried to play (signed by korn bassist fieldy, the price is only over 5,000 yuan). It has a heavy bass and a solid tone. It is said that the disadvantage is that it is difficult to combine perfectly with the band, which is of course one of the characteristics of korn bass.
Yamaha: Yamaha bb series products are the best evaluated among Yamaha's products for the public. Of course, bb's low-end products no longer belong to this price, but its quality inherits the characteristics of Japanese piano generalists, but it can be placed in any music with moderate timbre, and there are few cases of disharmony in various musical styles.
Fanta: The price of Fanta made in Mexico is cheaper than that made in the United States, and the timbre is definitely not as good as that made in the United States, but it is a good choice for most students who are financially strapped and have low requirements (especially those who love blues and jazz).
Low price (3000~5000):
IBANEZ: SR 500 and sr900 are classics with high cost performance, and they are also one of the most common bass in China underground bands.
Warwick Rock Bass: A low-end piano produced by Warwick's factory in China. I have tried to play many models of this brand of piano, which is not inferior to Japanese and Korean pianos at the same price, and it is also one of the more high-grade pianos that can be seen in Changchun market (direct display). His pickup is exactly the same as the Warwick Bass of the same style, and there may be great differences in wood.
Kurt: It's also an option. I personally don't know much about this Korean brand.
Peavey: This brand of speakers is not bad. As for the bass ... it can almost meet the quality that a bass should have.
Low price (below 3000):
Finder Squire: I just want to talk to you about the price of this piano. Because I believe in Fanta, I have never played Squire's bass, but I have been exposed to Squire's guitar, and his value is definitely beyond his price.
Choose a good bass: look at the weight, workmanship, fingerboard and timbre.
Good pianos are usually heavy (it seems not absolute).
Is the contact part between fingerboard and neck smooth? Does the knob feel tight? Is the neck closely connected to the body? If the answer is yes, it means that the work of the piano is still relatively good.
The fingerboard of a good piano is generally curved, while the fingerboard of a bad piano is generally flat.
Playing overtones, if the overtones are long and full (like the sound made in the middle of my concert), it means that the timbre of the piano will not be bad. Then, in order to play scales and chords on each handle, turn the knob and play it repeatedly to experience the beauty of timbre. Of course, it is important to see whether the shape and timbre of the piano suit you!
Four strings or five strings? This is also a problem that once bothered me. First of all, understand the interval relationship of four-string, five-string and six-string empty strings. The four-string bass is eadg, and the five-string bass has one more bass B string, which is beadg. The six-string bass has one more treble C string than the five-string bass, which is different from the six-string interval of the guitar. Apart from the six strings, compared with the four strings, the five strings not only have a coarse bass B string, but also have different tension, fingerboard width and voice control treatment. Five-string bass is often used in music such as Xinjin. But my experience is that if you can adapt to five strings, try to choose five strings (except jazz), although the same model of five strings is more expensive.
