1. What are the requirements for imprisonment?
Imprisonment means imprisonment. The public security organ in custody of a criminal shall, within one month from the date of receiving the notice and judgment of the people's court on the execution of a criminal sentenced to death with a two-year suspension of execution, life imprisonment or fixed-term imprisonment, send the criminal to prison for execution.
The activities of prisons to detain criminals sentenced to death with a two-year suspension of execution, life imprisonment or fixed-term imprisonment in accordance with legal procedures. Imprisonment means the beginning of penalty execution, and it is a serious law enforcement activity, which must be carried out in strict accordance with legal procedures.
II. Admission procedures
Prisoners must abide by certain working procedures. According to the provisions of China's prison law, the procedures for taking criminals into prison are as follows:
① Review the legal documents for sending criminals into prison. That is to examine whether the criminal judgment of the people's court has taken legal effect, whether the copy of the indictment of the people's procuratorate, the judgment of the people's court, the notice of execution and the registration form for closing the case are complete, and whether the records are wrong.
(2) Physical examination of the criminals who are sent to custody. That is, check whether the prisoner has a serious illness, whether the female prisoner is pregnant or breastfeeding her own baby, etc.
③ personal and articles inspection. If contraband or stolen goods are found, they shall be confiscated and sent to the people's court for handling; If materials available for investigation and trial are found, they shall be submitted to the competent investigation and judicial organs in time.
④ Fill in the Registration Form for Prisoners in Prison.
⑤ issue a notice to the criminal's family. After a prisoner is admitted to prison, the prison shall promptly notify his family members and issue a notice within 5 days after he is admitted to prison. For criminals without family members, the prison may notify their units, grass-roots organizations or the police station of their original residence.

Criminals may correspond with others while serving their sentences, but the correspondence should be inspected by the prison. Letters found in prisons that hinder the reform of criminals may be detained. Letters written by criminals to higher authorities and judicial organs of prisons are not subject to inspection.
